Abstract | In Chapter 14, Joanna Bull and James Daziel provide a comprehensive treatment of the issues surrounding the use of Question Banks and Computer Assisted Assessment, and provide a number of excellent examples of implementations. In their review of the technologies employed in Computer Assisted Assessment the authors include Computer Adaptive Testing and data generation. The authors reveal significant issues involving the impact of Intellectual Property rights and computer assisted assessment and make important suggestions for strategies to overcome these obstacles.
