Dear colleagues,

We invite submissions for the 8th Conference of the International Association for Computerized Adaptive Testing (IACAT), which will be held on October 10-12 in Frankfurt, Germany. Proposals will be accepted until April 30, 2021.

In addition to keynotes given by several of the most distinguished researchers in the field, there will be a wealth of individual oral presentations, symposia, workshops, and an innovative interactive session on cutting-edge CAT research and applications. We are accepting proposals originating from a background in either Item Response Theory or Artificial Intelligence.

The IACAT Early Career Researcher Award and several student travel grants are available.

There will be a rich social program including the conference dinner at the Eberbach Monastery, a Romanesque monastery church, which is nicely located in vineyards above the river Rhine.

We are optimistic that we can host one of the first face-to-face conferences of our field after the COVID-19 pandemic. It is safe to register right now, because cancellations made prior to August 1, 2021 will result in a 100% refund of the registration fees. So there will be enough time to decide whether traveling to Frankfurt is safe in autumn 2021.

Additional information can be found on the official IACAT 2021 website, https://www.iacat2021.com/.

Best wishes and we hope to see you next year in Frankfurt

Andreas Frey

(Conference Chair)
